About the Administration

The Furnishing and Housing Administration reports to the Assistant Secretary-General for Facilities Management.

The Furnishing and Housing Administration is responsible for implementing the university’s policies and rules related to providing necessary housing for academic staff, supporting academic staff, and others whose contracts stipulate their entitlement to university housing, housing allowance, or furnishing allowance. It also supplies the residences of academic staff, supporting academic staff, and various departments and work centers at Kuwait University and its colleges with the necessary furniture, replacing any that is worn out.

Additionally, the Furnishing and Housing Administration is one of the departments at Kuwait University that provides the furniture needs of various departments and work centers in the shortest possible time and with the highest quality, in accordance with the laws and regulations governing government procurement through suppliers approved by Kuwait University and the Ministry of Finance.

-Providing housing for faculty members and all other beneficiaries, furnishing them with the necessary furniture, supervising them, and organizing the process of disbursing housing and furnishing allowances according to the regulations governing this (residential care).
